    "I know my prices are far in excess of what a bodyguard would ask for the same assignment.  But then a bodyguard doesn't have to convince his charge that he's not there to keep an eye on him.  You want me to keep an eye on your star programmer without upsetting his production.  And let's be frank here.  In the event he is extracted by a hostile agency you would prefer to have someone willing to put an end to his long term usefullenss to the opposition rather than someone who will try to keep him safe at all costs.
    "And while we're being honest let's not forget that your boy isn't the easiest biped to get along with.  What is it, eight heads of security and twenty-three personnel who have requested transfer?  The way I hear it, finding someone who won't turn on you just to get rid of him is a major problem for you.  Very few men, or women for that matter, can put me off.
    "Well then, it seems my price isn't so ridiculous after all, is it?  I'll keep in touch.  Oh and tell your boss that the Christmas party was fun but that he still owes me a trip to Fiji."
Commentary:  Most runners hold the executive escorts in high contempt.  Nothing hoses a run so completely as when the corporate slag's eye candy turns out to be a plant.  Months of planning can come to a crashing halt in a second when she whips out that gun and ventilates the guy you're supposed to be extracting for a rival corp.  After all, you can take care of yourself when the bullets start flying, but the target might as well be a sitting duck.
    On the other hand, those very same skills come in handy for a shadowrunner too.  Her ability to get close to a target without arousing suspicion.  (Though she may arouse many other things.)  Her ability to work without back-up for extended periods.  And her reliance on herself before flashy guns and lots of equipment.  It all adds up to a very capable individual who can get the team all the information they need from targets that would normally be too difficult for them to even attempt to go up against.  And she does it so the target doesn't even know he's being taken for a ride.  The only thing you have to worry about is her loyalty.
