Captain Janus

    The enigma that is Captain Janus mirrors the mystery of the Avalon itself.  Very few people know of him outside the Avalon.  When the earthbound Nodes were being anchored to the Avalon, Janus never set foot on earth.  Victor and Margelis Korvenni contacted him to be the Captain from the start.  Even after their disappearance he maintained the work schedule going and proceeded with the dedication despite the loss of the two architects and major contributors to the project.  The senior staff and officers of the Avalon are all people hand picked by Janus for their positions.  The Captain has led the Avalon in their name, but without looking back even once.  Among all the missions that the Avalon has quested upon, looking for the creators of the ship is not one of them.

Image:  Captain Janus is a tall man with swarthy skin.  Due to a Paradox Flaw his eyes are always in shadow.  However he always appears to be staring directly at you no matter where you are standing.  Even if you stand behind him you will get the feeling that he is aware of your presence.  These invisible eyes follow you around like the eyes of a painting.
