Nova Name: Megawrath

Real Name: Trudy Andrews
Eruption: Threatening Situation
Nature: Hedonist
Allegiance: Four Horsemen, The Apostle
Concept: Fundamental Forces
Archetype: Stage II Monster

Background: Trudy was a white trash girl from Tennessee. She was average in most any way and by the age of 16 didn't have anything much to show for her life so far. She wasn't pretty, she wasn't ugly, not particularly smart but not stupid either. Trudy was wallowing in her own mediocrity while dreaming of becoming a model for Playboy. Novas were still new in 2004 and not many people knew much about them when Trudy met with a Harvester. Crunch looked like a cross between an alligator and an ink spot test. Trudy was intimidated by this strange creature and went along with him when he said he could make her a porn star. He took her to his safe house in Nashville where he had a very specialized studio. Ever since it's formation the Harvesters have been aware of one thing lacking in their personal lives. Sexual fulfillment. Many Harvesters find their own appearance revolting and are hard pressed to find willing sex partners even among their own kind. In this Crunch had found a way to satisfy his own perverted tastes while supplying his compatriots in the Harvesters with porn that fed upon their frustrations.
Crunch's formula was to find 'girl next door' type girls who would normally run away screaming from a monstrous nova and then film them while he raped them. His ability to cause discreet parts of his anatomy to expand and contract where what gained him his nova name of Crunch in the first place. Trudy was to be Crunch's next victim but the random luck of the draw had a surprise in store for the both of them. Just as Crunch was beginning to enlarge his member to split Trudy open from the inside, she erupted. The white hot pain fused with her distending bones and flesh to twist her into force of nature. Space, Time and Gravity suddenly began to stretch and contract. Crunch and his camera man were ripped to shreds along with most of the room.
When she came to her senses she looked upon the devastation and felt cheated of her revenge. When she saw herself in the mirror she swore to destroy all novas of monstrous appearance. Her own appearance she blamed on Crunch and on other 'Harvesters' like him. During her captivity Crunch hadn't been at all shy about telling her about the Harvesters and what was going to happen to her once he filmed her death. He would do the same with all his victims to make them more frightened when the time came. Because of this she knew about the Harvesters and where to contact members of the Teragen.
She had no trouble infiltrating the Teragen with her appearance and she had even started her campaign of murder by the time she met The Apostle. Killing a few of the least likely to be missed here and there. Sometimes when she had to kill a recognized Terat she would do it in such a way that it appeared to be one the Teragen's many enemies who had done the killing. Delorimer realized what she was about immediately but instead of putting a stop to it he managed to insinuate his own agenda into her designs. He set her to killing the novas he wanted her to kill and sparing those he wanted alive.

Roleplaying Notes: Even though she is one of the ugliest novas on the planet, that doesn't stop Megawrath from being shallow. On the contrary she has high standards for the superficial requirements of her lovers. Blond beefcakes of minimal intelligence are her favorite pastime. Though most men would balk at sharing a bed with a monstrosity like Megawrath, she convinces them with liberal use of her Hypnotic Gaze. It may take her a several attempts to completely break all resistance but in the end she has a completely obedient boy toy at her disposal. Which is usually until she sets her sights on the next conquest. Delorimier is constantly stringing her along and her hopes of one day being his lover make her all the more devoted to him and his private agenda. She would lay her life down for him and would kill anyone he asked her to.
She still hasn't gotten over the circumstances of her eruption. She can't stand being around novas who have twisted appearances like her own. She once had to be restrained by Scripture from killing Geryon when he made what he thought was an innocent pass at her. Of course the fact that it took a monumental effort on the part of Scripture to keep her from tearing Geryon apart has made many novas direct more attention at her than The Apostle would like.
In combat Megawrath will bend space and gravity to make herself almost impossible to hit. Since she can also stretch and bend her body like liquid any attacks that do manage to get close to her are almost assured to miss. She then stretches her arms and feet out to attack her opponents from a distance and from multiple directions. She also supplements her physical attacks with Temporal distortions accelerating herself and slowing down her enemies. As if that wasn't enough she also likes to distort distances in her vicinity and then cause gravity to shift and change. The effect is like an M.C. Escher painting. If a foe proves to be too tough she will Teleport them to another location far away. Usually the moon or near space.

Cohesion Control
 Level: 2
 Quantum Minimum: 2
Dice Pool: Stamina + Cohesion Control
 Range: Self
 Area: N/A
 Duration: Maintenance
Effect: Allows the nova to control the cohesion of the molecules that make up his body.
 Multiple Actions: Yes
 Description:
With this power the nova can affect the amount of consistency that exists between his molecules. With a few successes the nova can appear to be boneless as nova's body can stretch and bend in remarkable shapes and becomes increasingly liquid in consistency with more successes. For feats of elasticity and bending the Storyteller should assign a standard difficulty with the player rolling Stamina + Cohesion Control to over come it. This power is similar to Density Control (Decrease) but serves a different function.
Each success on a Cohesion Control + Stamina roll allows the nova to convert one level of Lethal damage from a physical attack into Bashing damage. The nova can choose to make this roll before or after damage is rolled. And if the number of successes to convert Lethal damage to Bashing damage exceeds the total damage of the attack then the extra successes negate damage at the rate of one health level per success. Alternately the successes can be used to reduce the effects of Armor Piercing attacks. Armor Piercing attacks depend on overcoming hardened defenses by concentrating power on single spot. As a 'soft' target the nova with Cohesion Control can disperse the energy of an Armor Piercing attack over a larger area or allow it to pass through without resistance. This works equally well for Physical and Energy attacks. Each success counts as one less success for the Armor Piercing attack. In other words an Armor Piercing attack that would reduce soak by 12 with six successes could be countered by a Cohesion Control roll with six successes. The nova would still take damage as normal from an attack with 5+ successes on the attack roll, but at full soak for that attack.
Each level of Cohesion Control adds one extra die for Contortionism rolls and some Athletics activities where it would be appropriate, including dodges in melee combat. Cohesion Control also allows the nova to stretch his body beyond normal but as the limbs attenuate so does the strength of the physical attacks the nova can make with those limbs. The nova can stretch (Quantum) + (2 per success) meters. However the physical damage pools of the nova are reduced one per three meters he has stretched himself. Reduce automatic damage first before reducing damage dice just as if it were soak.

Backtrack
Dice Pool: Wits + Temporal Manipulation
 Range: Self
 Area: N/A
 Duration: Instant

This Technique allows the nova to repeat a moment in time, hopefully getting a better result. The amount of time the nova can Backtrack is just a few seconds so it only allows the nova to repeat a single action and sometimes not even that. The nova must have Temporal Manipulation active during the turn that Backtrack is used. He then spends an extra point of Quantum and rolls Wits + Temporal Manipulation. If he succeeds he can repeat his last action before using Backtrack even if it is an extra action from Quickness or Accelerate Time. However his dice pool for the action cannot exceed the amount of successes he had on his roll for Backtrack. Use of Backtrack must be declared immediately following the action it is used on. Multiple uses of Backtrack during the same scene incur a cumulative +1 difficulty penalty.
