Commentary: The Ork Ganger could go either way. He can lose himself to BTLs and drugs or he could grow up and make something of himself. It all depends on whether he realizes that he's the only one who can give him a fair break. Most Ork Gang Members don't get out of the life before it catches up with them. These end up either dead or as cautionary tales on the excesses of alchohol and drugs. But the few who do manage to get out don't do it because they're lucky or someone took pity on them. They do it because they're motivated and have confidence in their own abilities. Combat Biker and Urban Brawl get a lot of Ork youths who are too tough and ambitious to let the streets drag them down. Others graduate to the exalted status of Ork Street Samurai as they acquire Cyberware and learn the skills of a Shadowrunner.
