Already you know it's not going to be pretty since one of the PC's (who's playing an independant) doesn't know that the fight with Dr. Destruction is staged and none of the PC's know that another team of Novas will actually be trying to steal the CF chamber for real.
The presentation starts and all of a sudden Dr. Destruction makes his entrance. The PC's who are in on it immediatley go to do battle with the 'supervillian'. The one who isn't (Basara) decides to cause some confusion by taking the CF chamber himself. Then the real bad guys show up. Dr. D is just picking himself up from under a tree while The Jackyl (flying speedster) and Victory Angel (flying brick) go to face the bad guys. The independent, Basara decides to destroy the fusion chamber to keep it from falling into the wrong hands. The chamber is made of some strong stuff however and he only cracks it. At the same time Silver Knight (metalmorph villian) takes his scimitar and opens Basara up with a slash to the back. Dr. D realizes what's happening and tries to tell The Enforcer (dumb brick and another one of the PC's) what's going on. The Cold fusion chamber is about to go critical and explode! ...Of course dumb brick ignores him and continues to try to pound Dr. D into oblivion. Basara regenerates his almost deadly wound, while The Jackyl and Victory Angel try to stop Shaitan (huge, scary brick) from trampling everything in his path. Shaitan does however manage to trample on The Enforcer doing enough Bashing damage to the dumb brick to leave him at Crippled in Lethal damage. Silver Knight realizes that the CF chamber is about to explode and decides to leave it where it is while he hightails it out of there. Shaitan and the rest finally realize what's going on and he flees along with The Jackyl. Kali (cybermorph villian) finally realizes his life is in danger and stops fighting with Basara to throw the CF chamber some four blocks away. Dr. Destruction informs everyone that the explosion will have a blast radius of 30 kilometers and then teleports to the site of the CF chamber. Basara follows while Victory Angel tries to evacuate all the Baselines in a 30 kilometer radius. At the CF chamber Dr. Destruction tries to leech off the energy of the CF chamber while Basara tries to fix the crack he made. Dr. Destruction explains to Basara how the only way to fix it is by melting eufiber in the breach with a high capacity arc welder. As luck would have it Kali has the power of Electric Q-Bolt and Basara is wearing eufiber. Basara then goes to round up Kali. By the time he gets back Dr. D is running dangerously low on Quantum. Basara and Kali manage to seal the breach just as Dr. Destruction's Quantum Pool reaches zero! Now that the danger has passed Kali decides to steal the CF chamber anyways. Basara decides it's not worth the effort and Dr. D can't do anything, but just as Kali is getting away The Enforcer comes along having been pumped full of adrenocilin and cured of that one pesky Bashing Health Level down there at incapacitated. So what does he do? He gets out of the ambulance and goes up to Kali and rips the CF chamber out of his hands. Kali knows he has the advantage here so he lets loose with an Electric Q-Bolt at The Enforcer. Which is dumb in and of itself since he does more damage with his Mega Strength of 2 and all he needs is one Bashing level to put The Enforcer down. So When he rolls damage and comes up no successes nobody is at all surprised. Then you would not believe what The Enforcer does next and which shall forever go down in the history of Aberrant as the supidest thing one of my players ever did.

Luckily Dr. Destruction had already reduced the blast energy by 24 levels but it would still cover a 6 kilometer radius with a lethal explosion. So Dr. D tries to Max out his force field by Dying for Power, converting four of his Health Levels into Quantum. He throws the force field in a dome over the surrounding area up to a 25 meter radius, by using two of his successes from the Quantum roll to give his force field the Area Extra. On the next round the CF chamber explodes, doing six Health levels of Aggravated damage to Basara, Kali, The Enforcer, Dr. Destruction, the paramedics and police in the area and leaving one hell of an irradiated crater. (Not so clean this fake Cold fusion is it?) Every one survives mostly because they either had no previous damage or because their Hardbody protected them.
And then, oh yes, there's more... The Enforcer tosses Kali in a squad car, and punches the defensless Dr. Destruction (who is a tuff' bastard and doesn't even feel it despite the fact that he has no Quantum and is in the Maimed region of the Health Track) and then says to the media that he destroyed the CF chamber and almost destroyed a huge chunk of the city because he just felt like it.
You know that character didn't last long after that. Luckily that player decided to make himself another character, the ever popular Battousai. And went on to redeem himself, at least in my eyes.
